Wolvercote & North Oxford - Beauty & Conservation

Wolvercote is beautiful. It is still a real village on the fringes of North Oxford, with its own village green, medieval church, pubs and local shops. It makes up part of the Wolvercote with Godstow Conservation Area and Port Meadow and Wolvercote Common are one Oxford's most famous and photographed green space. They areSites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), a Scheduled Ancient Monument and together with the nearby Yarnton and Pixey Mead a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) under the European Habitats Directive.

You can read more about it in the file at the bottom of this page which describes the Wolvercote with Godstow conservation area.
