Today was the first of four days of hearings in front of Inspector Pratt who will determine the 'soundness' of the Oxford Core Strategy of which the Northern Gateway is a part.
The final Planning Hearings on the Oxford Core Strategy be held in front of Stephen Pratt, the Planning Inspector, from Tuesday 14th September 2010 at 10am until Friday 17th in the Assembly Room, Oxford Town Hall. Some days will begin at 2pm so check here for updates - we'll do our best to keep you informed.
We went back to our Oxford roots yesterday with a very successful party in Wolvercote Village Hall. A huge number of people helped out and many thanks to all of them - pictures coming soon....
About 150 Oxford residents attended a meeting in Wolvercote on Thursday 25th March to debate the proposed ‘Evergreen 3’ rail project. The Board of Chiltern Railways Limited gave a complete presentation on the details of their proposal to build a privately funded line from Oxford Station to London via Bicester. The meeting was chaired by Dr.
CPRE have worked closely with us on our opposition to the Northern Gateway. They are running an Oxford Green Spaces Sponsored Walk, which we hope many of you will take part on Sunday June 27th from 10.00 am – 4.00 pm
The nine mile circular walk around Oxford has been created by CPRE Oxford to highlight the threats to many of the city’s much-loved green spaces.
We were pleased that we were able to organise a useful public meeting on 11th January, despite the postponement of the planning meeting. Over 70 residents from across the city attended despite challenging weather and timing.
